No Time for Waste is an environmental gathering being held on Sunday 16th March 2025 10am - 4pm. We have hired the whole of the Linskill Centre in North Shields.
Within the event, there will be a hall of environmentally conscious makers and sellers. The second hall is full of continuous craft, local artists providing environmentally conscious craft over the day. Last year we had over 10 information stalls, telling our visitors what they are all about. This year we are looking to have at least 30 stalls as we have the space. On the day we also have different workshops that people can tap into and a variety of films and talks.
The event is organised by a Zerowaste shop in Tynemouth called Buy the Kilo. The business has always been about sharing information and promoting local businesses.
No Time For Waste brings together all of these interesting connections to show case what in going on environmentally in North Tyneside and beyond.

STAMPEDE BY THE SEA 2025 stampedebythesea.org
TRAIL NOW ON UNTIL 27TH MAY!
I have been busy painting two elephants as part of a very special herd of elephants in Bridport, West Bay, and Lyme Regis.
The area has been transformed into vibrant, fun, and free art trail that local families and visitors will never forget. Thirty striking and colourful elephants will be waiting to be discovered, each designed and painted by talented artists. The trail will conclude with each sculpture being auctioned for charity. Stampede by the Sea is raising funds for Weldmar Hospicecare, who provide specialist end of life care for local adults with a life limiting illness, and support for their loved ones.
Summer 2024 saw Worcester trail was a free, fun art space full of wonderfully designed penguins. Each sculpture was sponsored by a business and individually designed by an artist.
I painted 'Conservenguin' who is the African penguin (Spheniscus demersus); it is one of the four species endemic to southern Africa. They face many threats to their survival and are listed on the IUCN Redlist as endangered. This design highlights the fragility of the species. Extinction is not inevitable but they and many other species need our help. Let’s talk about this and plan ways we can all be more wildlife-friendly.
They waddled in on Monday 22 July and will left us all on Sunday 15 September 2024.
On 24th October the penguins went to auction and together raised £330,000 to support St Richards Hospice.
